USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
For Automatic Espresso Machines
- Insert one Urnex Cafiza Cleaning Tablet into the machine’s designated cleaning slot (not the water tank).
- Follow the manufacturer’s Maintenance and Cleaning instructions for your specific model.
For Traditional Espresso Machines
- Insert a blind filter into the portafilter and add one Urnex Cafiza Cleaning Tablet.
- Attach the portafilter to the group head.
- Activate the brew cycle for 10 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds. Repeat this process 5 times.
- Remove the portafilter and rinse it under running water.
- Activate the brew cycle to flush the group head with water.
- Reattach the portafilter and repeat the brew-and-stop cycle 5 more times to fully remove cleaning solution.
- Finally, brew and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.
Maintenance Recommendation
- Backflush the group head weekly using cleaning tablets to maintain optimal performance and cleanliness.
Important Note
These cleaning tablets are not suitable for descaling the boiler. Use appropriate descaling solutions for that purpose.
