- To use the leveller, adjust it to your desired depth. Then, place the leveller on top of your portafilter and twist it to achieve a level coffee bed.
- Ensure that the coffee grounds are spread flat, even, and uncompressed after using the leveller on your coffee in the portafilter.
- Next, flip the leveller over and position the tamper side flat on top of the coffee grounds in the portafilter.
- Allow the weight of the tamper to rest on the coffee bed and apply pressure as needed.
- Next, gently twist the tamper in a clockwise direction. Avoid excessive twisting; a single clean twist is sufficient.
- A good starting point for the height adjustment, set the leveller side to its minimum height, and adjust the tamper side to a height of 7-8mm.
