When an order is refunded, the Reward$ points and tier points linked to that order may be adjusted.
Refund adjustments help ensure that Reward$ points and tier points reflect the final amount kept after refund.
If you earned Reward$ points from the order
If you earned Reward$ points from a refunded order, the earned Reward$ points may be reversed proportionally based on the refund amount.
For example, if part of the order is refunded, only the related portion of earned Reward$ points may be reversed. If the full qualifying order is refunded, the earned Reward$ points from that order may be fully reversed.
If you used Reward$ points on the order
If you redeemed Reward$ points on a refunded order, the redeemed points may be restored proportionally based on the refund amount.
For example, if an order is partially refunded, only part of the redeemed Reward$ points may be restored. If the order is fully refunded, the redeemed Reward$ points used on that order may be fully restored.
What happens to tier points?
Tier points earned from the refunded order may also be reversed proportionally.
Tier points are used only for Reward$ Tier progress. They cannot be redeemed and have no cash value.
Why do I see multiple refund transaction rows?
A refund may create more than one Reward$ transaction row because Reward$ balance and tier points are tracked separately.
For example, a refund may show:
- reversal of earned Reward$ points
- restoration of redeemed Reward$ points
- reversal of tier points
This allows your Reward$ Balance and Reward$ Tier history to remain accurate.
Can a refund create a negative Reward$ balance?
Yes. If Reward$ points from an order are reversed after they have already been used, your Reward$ balance may become negative.
If this happens, future Reward$ points earned will first offset the negative balance before becoming available for redemption.
